Product Reviewed-

749INR (10.72usd) for set of six (set S3)

Quantity-4.2g each

What the product claims-

My experience-

These lipsticks come in a set of six (at Amazon) containing brown ,nudes ,pink and red shade.these shades are even sold separately on ebay.

These lipstick have “Numbers” mentioned on it for different shades…instead of names.

The nude Shades in this set are “Kylie Jennerish” shades 🙂

These are incredibly smooth powdery matte lipstick…Pigmentation is really good…so good that it won’t come off even on waashing.Only makeup removers or oil can remove it…Hence kissproof i guess 😛 as the name says.

But it might feel dry for people with dry lips.

when applied over any other lipstick it makes it look matte.

these act as great lipliner for liquid lipstick…especially shade 5 and shade 9 which helps in concealing dark pigmentation on lips.

Thumbs up-

  • great pigmentation
  • nude shades conceals pigmented lips well
  • super long lasting
  • affordable

Thumbs down-

  • has to be sharpened
  • has mild rubbery smell to it
  • only available online

Price-Rs 700 (10.42 usd)

Packaging-the packaging is much similiar to nyx brow is packaged within a squeezy plastic tube, with a nozzle. The packaging is quite classy…but there’s no brush to go along with this product.

The Application.

The first thing I’d say is that you need the smallest amount of this stuff for both eyebrows, below is about as much as I use (one dot).

Lasting Power-

With powder I often find that it fades through the day but this stuff doesn’t, it sets to a natural looking finish, it’s not crispy or waxy but it doesn’t budge, I still definitely have to remove quite a bit at night when I’m taking off my makeup which is good. I wear my makeup for around 12-14 hours a day and I never feel like I need to touch it up.

. Once applied to the brows, it really doesn’t budge and it is completely smudgeproof like it claims and it’s even waterproof too so it would be the perfect brow companion in the summer or on holiday as your brows would stay in place all day. I think this would be the perfect brow product if the shade range was a little more diverse, so I really hope Makeup Revolution create some cool toned fair and dark shades as three out of the four shades are warm toned.

  • Great pigmentation
  • easy to use
  • medium shade is a bit reddish ,,..not so good for indian skin tone
  • feels light
  • smudge proof
  • affordable

  • no brush is given with it…so you have to buy a brush for its application
  • limited shades
  • easily available only online

Biotique bio aloe vera sunscreen

Product Reviewed-Biotique bio aloe vera sunscreen

Price-INR 199 for 120 ml

Packaging: It comes in a regular yellow packaging. Nothing interesting or different. It has a flip flop green top cap . It is sturdy and travel friendly.

Fragrance-Smell exactly like mustard oil(sarso ka tel) which is the thing i hate about it the most.

Ghritkumari (Aloevera barbadensis), Chandan (Santalum album), Surajmukhi (Helianthus annuus), Kusimbhi (Catamus tinctorius), Yasad (Zincum), Cream Base Q.S.

Texture: The lotion is runny and spreads evenly. It gets absorbed pretty quickly but does make my skin feel a little greasy. . I do like to use it as it makes you sweat  lot if used under foundation. I am sure this is going to be more useful during winters as it moisturizes skin pretty well.IMG_20160309_084156

*travel friendly packageing

*decent price

*feels sticky and greasy

*too thin consistency

*strong and unacceptable fragrance

no,Never again.

Hi guys,

As soon as i discovered that TOO FACED MELTED LIPSTICK’s have a dupe …..i knew that i had to get my hands on these- MAKEUP REVOLUTION LIP LAVA.

PRICE-RS 700( 4.59usd /2.99GBP) for 12ml

  • Unleash(peachy shade)
  • Shockwave(neon purple)
  • Forgiven(Nude)
  • Firestorm( True red)

AVAILABLE (mostly online)-

It comes in pretty chic cardboard box which shows quite a close resemblance to the “too faced melted lipsticks” quite sturdy enough to store in the squeezin tube containing the lipstick.

This is how the red plastic squeeze-in tube with a black cap looks like this. The tube represents the colour of the lipstick, which is quite helpful in selecting the shade ……thought the name of the lipstick “FIRESTORM” is not mentioned anywhere. It has a soft sponge applicator tip which i feel might be unhygienic so it cannot be shared ,if used directly on lips by one person.

IMG_20160117_121931 - Copy

The Lip Lavas are described as an Intense lipstick formula, melted to create our most impactful gloss. Smooth and comfortable wear, with long lasting formula with Vitamin E

DUPE of too faced melted –

Too Faced MELTED LIPSTICK came out with a lot more shades, but, the Lip Lava’s have pretty much exact color dupes for

Melted Nude = Forgiven,

Melted Ruby = Firestorm,

Melted Coral = Unleash,

Melted Violet = Shockwave and

Melted Peony = Tremor.

The collection contains five shades in gorgeous bright and vibrant colours.

When the Lip Lavas are first applied to the lips, the finish is very glossy although over time the glossiness does reduce slightly but it stays relatively glossy whereas the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks dry down to a matte finish which is probably the only difference between the two products.

I am quite happy to see the pigmentation, these Lip Lava’s are very pigmented, just like as i had expected and heard about it.

FIRESTORM being a “BLUE-TONED RED” looks gorgeous on my skin colour(wheatish skin).i love wearing it all the time …even a small amount of the lipstick looks like a stain which a prefer. 🙂
Smell– The Lip Lava lipsticks don’t have a scent which is a plus point 🙂
Texture– it’s smooth and creamy but feels stick at first on application.
STAYING POWER-It stays all day long unless you remove it.i have noticed that even after removing it off with a baby wipe it tends to remain as stain on lips which looks lovely on its own.
TRANFER-The only downside of this product is that it tranfers a lot….like hell. But even after transferring, it remains on your lips forever.:)

FIRESTORM (in natural light)

Thumbs up 👍 –

  • Superb formulation
  • stays all day
  • Great pigmentation
  • Blue-toned red(Shade “FIRESTORM”) looks best on women of colour.
  • Stains lips even after removing
  • doesn’t have any smell

Thumbs Down 👎 –

  • Transfers a lot
  • Mostly available online in india .
  • Drugstore price.
  • Great dupe of “Too faced melted “
  • Shade name is not mentioned on the tube

Rating– 4/5

Overall, i love it because it is quite affordable dupe when compared to TOO FACED MELTED (which is $19 each). i love its formulation and the fact that it stays on forever . 🙂 i would love to see more shades in this lip lava range of makeup revolution.

Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick

Hi everyone!

Lakme enrich satin lipstick range is one of the range from LAKME that is still available in the market easily…..Earlier it had a “maroon packaging” and later they changed the packaging to a transparent one with the shades remaining almost the same in both.i’ll be reviewing the one with “maroon packaging”

Product reviewed- Lakme enrich satin lipstick

Shade Reviewed-

  • No.133(light brown peachy nude shade)
  • No.154 PINK SORBET(berry autumy shade)

Price-Rs225(3.31 usd) each for 4.3 gms

What the product claims :

  • Rich satin color
  • amazing satin texture

PACKAGING-The lipstick comes in the regular Lakme enrich range maroon packaging. The packaging is OK- not very attractive but sturdy’s almost bullet shaped .

Texture -the lipstick are smooth but not buttery. It glides on easily and gives of an opaque colour in one swipe.

No ingredients list anywhere on the packaging

The texture of the lipsticks is quite creamy and soft I would say. Some shades do have shimmers in it while the others don’t. It glides on easily on the lips and is pretty moisturising I would say. Haven’t noticed any accentuation of the fine lines.

The shade No.133 was a slighly less opaque and is nude(not a perfect one though)for my wheatish skin color as compared to no.154 which looked really gorgeous for my skin type.

The shade No.133 looks a straight up nude for my skin type …it has slight silver shine to it which in]s evident only on closeup.while the other shade ie- no.154 looks quite opaque on one swipe.

The only downside of these lipstick can be that they are not matte and neither totally glossy. They often tend to melt away when not kept in a cold place(i store them in refrigerator)

STAYING POWER-It stayed on me for a good 3 -4 hours.

TRANSFER-It transfers very little. The shade no.154 stains lips and the stains remains there for a long time and needs to be wiped off with an oil base make up remover. This is not the same for the nude shade ie- no.133

SHADE NO.154 (Swatch in natural night)
SHADE NO .133 (swatch in natural day light)
SHADE NO.154(in flash)-this is the colour On one swipe
SHADE NO.133( in flash)-this is the colour on one swipe.

  • both shades are best for wheatish skin color
  • easy available online and offline
  • sturdy packaging
  • satiny and smooth texture
  • does not dries out the lips
  • good pigmentation
  • darker shades tend to stay as lip stain even after fading away.

  • ingredient list not mentioned
  • Shades have number instead of names

Overall I feel these are some very affordable and lovely lipsticks.

hey everyone, 🙂

i was really eager to know their theme for their december month…then later after subscribing to them, i came to know that they had not made any new bag …rather there was a choice for use to choose from any of the previous month’s fabbag.(the products in the bag obviously would not be the same as previous month)

So,i chose the September month one(which was their third anniversary bag).it was chic pink glittery bag ..which i noticed later that it was actually apt to the theme “party all night”

1)SKINN by TITAN CELESTE FOR WOMEN– It was a sample size product incased in a usual perfume casing. There was small glass spray bottle with the name of the perfume embossed on it and  20ml of perfume(Eau De Parfum) was in it.For me, it would easily last for a month.

I’ll be doing a full review on each of the products soon. 🙂

Himalaya Anti Dandruff Hair Cream

hi beauties ,

Winter’s are a time when people most often tend to have dandruff issues…

Anti dandruff shampoos only remove those flakes but do they prevent? NO. At the least most don’t.So the dandruff eventually returns and this viscious cycle goes on and on.Wilw i was surfing through youtube,i came across this product “Himalaya Anti Dandruff Hair Cream”….It has tulsi and tea tree (as it says on the product)

PRODUCT REVIEWED-Himalaya Anti Dandruff Hair Cream

PRICE- Rs 100 for 175 ml

Apply sufficient amount of cream from root to tip, massage gently on scalp using your fingers to spread the cream evenly .For better reslts, use daily before and after hair wash.

AS HAIRMASK- i apply this as a hairmask as mentioned above by generous applying the cream.

AS HAIR CONDITIONER-i have also used this as a conditioner…and this cream does a brillant job in doing that 🙂 .i use a much less amount of cream (as compared to HAIRMASK) and apply it only to the shaft of my hair …leave it for 2-3 minutes and wash it of.

AS ANTI -FRIZZ CREAM-it also helps in taming dry ,frizzy ,rough and tangled hair. After shampooing and conditoning ,when my hair dries up….i  apply a small amount of cream to my finger tips….and run it through my hair. 🙂

PACKAGING-It comes in round white tub with green cap.

TEXTURE– The cream is super smooth and spreads amazingly well…a small quantity of it goes a long way.The consistency of the cream was so thick that it didn’t even drop when i turned the tub upside down.

SMELL- i like the smell of it…but some people might not….

My review

The cream is truly a cream, very smooth to touch. It bought instant relief to itchy sensation(a common problem seen in dandruff scalp) as soon as this cream was applied. It was intense moisture and my scalp was cool and RELAXED. I combed my hair so as to spread the cream throughout the hair shaft.i applied the cream 2 to 3 hours before shampooing .

After washing off my hair…i did feel a change in the texture of my felt a lot smoother and tangle free….

For the dandruff to go away…it does take time and a clean scalp can be achieved on regular use.

Thumbs Up 👍-

  • affordable and easily Available
  • relieves itchiness
  • relieves frizz
  • conditions hair
  • Improves the texture of hair
  • quite a lot of product to use ..the cream was filled up to the brim of the tub 🙂

Thumbs Down 👎 –

  • Some people might not like the smell of it.
  • it goes contain inactive ingredients like Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Rating- 4.5/5

Would i repurchase it? yes… least for using it throughout winters.

Boroline Antiseptic Ayurvedic Cream Review

hi lovelies,

This is winter time and a very common time to develop rough patches on skin and frequently chapping lips. Yes, we all love those fancy colorful products but at times, it is nice to go back to products that have been trusted for generations One such age old cream is Boroline.

I will review Boroline Antiseptic Ayurvedic Cream which is a very old cream that I have heard that my mum had used when she was a kid. This cream is a very popular. This use to be the best antiseptic cream at every cheap price at that time and I got it recently to cherish the same love that I have when my grand mum used to apply this antiseptic cream on me.

PRICE-Rs 10 for 7 gm ( 0.15usd)

What it Claims?

Works Wonders to-

  • Smoothen Cracked Lips
  • Cure Cuts & Wounds
  • Soften Elbows & Abraded Skin
  • Cure Cracked Heels
  • Soften Nail Cuticles
  • Heal Post-operative Stiches
  • Cure General Skin Infections
  • Smoothen Dry & Chapped Skin

How to Use Boroline/Direction to use

  • Clean the skin well and then apply Boroline – gently massaging in the cream.
  • Warming up Boroline and using it in molten state increases its efficacy – specially in  curing skin infections.
  • In case the cut is open and deep, it is advisable to apply Boroline only when the cut has closed and begun to dry up. During early stages apply Suthol and keep the cut  covered and dry.

Where Not to Use Boroline

  • Do not use Boroline on pimples which occur due to excessive oil secretion. Boroline being oily itself will aggravate the problem.
  • Do not apply Boroline on very deep wounds, which are raw and weeping. Keep such wounds dry and covered, preferably washing with Suthol twice a day and using medication as per Doctor’s advice. Cover with cotton and a clean gauge that allows air circulation.

The consistency of the cream is very thick. It does not melts easily & appears to be of stiff & sticky texture with white in color.

It is available in tube form and lip balm shaped green plastic  case ,both of which are totally travel-friendly 🙂

The Review

Boroline Antiseptic Ayurvedic Cream is manufactured by GD Pharma and has remained exactly the same since it’s very introduction apart from the packaging. This is an all purpose cream for minor cuts and bruises to dry and chapped lips to dry patches of skin that occur often in winter. Boroline Antiseptic Ayurvedic Cream contains boric acid, that works as a mild antiseptic. Then there is zinc oxide, which is an astringent and also promotes healing of wounds. Lastly there are white petroleum jelly and anhydrous lanolin that give this cream is emollient and moisturizing properties.. The name of this cream is derived from its ingredients, Boroline Antiseptic Ayurvedic Cream is combination of essential oils, waxes and its remarkable antiseptic properties are a result of boric powder and zinc oxide.

I normally use this cream on my lips but one could use it anywhere in dry areas like feet, elbows, cuticles etc. Whenever I feel my lips to be dry I apply its thick layer on to my lips & leave it overnight & believe me I get to see a huge difference in my lips the next morning. My lips appears atleast 60% less dry & rough than before. Then I continue to use it in winters to protect them.

I can say this from my personnel experience that the Boroline cream can even heal severely chapped bleeding lips also within two days if applied nicely. It can even lighten dark lips to some extent if used regularly but for dryness its works like a charm. The best way to use it is applying its thick layers & leaving it overynight. Using this will definitely make lips smooth & soft. Thus this Boroline cream is definitely the best lip balm I have ever used.

It hydrates skin very well since it is oil based and even contains white petroleum jelly. It has a very long shelf life so, you need not worry about expiry date too. It is dirt cheap. A wonderful product for the price that one has to pay.

Thumbs up  👍 –

  • Very effective in healing dry chapped lips and skin
  • Shows results overnight in one application.
  • Very affordable.
  • Easily available at medical stores or local stores
  • Easy to carry-travel friendly.
  • Best lip balm for dry lips.

Thumbs Down 👎

  • Sticky texture
  • should not be used by very oily skinned people

RATING – 4.5/5

Winter can wreck havoc on your skin. Whipping winds, dry air, and chilly temps can really do a number on soft skin and hair. Cold air outside and central heat indoors can strip moisture from strands and pores, making hair rough and skin itchy and dry.

1)Cleanse…without stripping your skin.– A little exfoliation speeds skin turnover, helping both to trigger a natural repair process and to build Collagen and Elastin. And use exfoliators or scrubs  to get the dead skin off periodically; that helps any moisturizers you use to sink in faster and deeper. 🙂

If there was ever a time to use gentle cleansers, it’s winter. Look for cleansers with natural oils, like green tea oil, in their list of ingredients so you can cleanse and lubricate simultaneously. Let go of your need for “squeaky clean” skin because cleansers with harsh sudsing agents ultimately do more damage than good, stripping your skin of its environmental protective barrier.

  • Clean and clear berry blast face wash
  • Avene cleanance gel
  • Ponds daily face wash
  • Himalaya Herbals Moisturizing Aloe Vera gel face wash
  • Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash
  • The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Oil (oil based face wash)
  • Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub

2)Tone-Toning is really  necessary while your skin is still damp after bathing or scrubbing or cleansing your face….Toners essentially prevent the loss of moisture from your face and prevents it from forming fine lines

i usually use Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water or sometimes dabar gulbari Rose water.

Other toner that can be used –

  • Organic harvest green cucumber toner
  • Avene Thermal Spring Water
  • Kaya Purifying Toner

3)Use a sunscreen
People like to enjoy the sun during winter but little do they know that exposure to the sun can hasten ageing. Therefore, one must use a sunscreen 15 minutes before going out in order to allow the skin to absorb it.[ sunscreen should always be used before moisturizers]

Just because the sun isn’t out as long during winter, doesn’t mean you can take a sunscreen break. Always choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects you from both UVA and UVB rays.Sunscreens with zinc oxide do an especially good job of repelling rays before they can enter the skin and wreak havoc. Wear sunscreen every day, from dawn to dusk, rain or shine, in hot or cold weather.

4)Moisturizing More You may have found a moisturizer that works just fine in spring and summer. But as weather conditions change, so, too, should your skin care routine.

Find an “ointment” moisturizer that’s oil-based, rather than water-based, as the oil will create a protective layer on the skin that retains more moisture than a cream or lotion. (Hint: Many lotions labeled as “night creams” are oil-based.)

Facial moisturisers ,body lotions and body butter are a must for winters-

  • Pond’s moisturing lotion( i just love the smell of it)-CHECK OUT MY REVIEW HERE
  • Za perfect solution Moisturizer( its very thin & light in consisteny)
  • Vaseline Body lotion
  • Nivea creme
  • Nivea soft cream
  • Nivea smooth body  milk lotion
  • La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Protective Care
  • Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream
  • Kama Ayurveda Kokum And Almond Body Butter

Using Facial oils and serum, instead of moisturisers also an option. But choose your oils with care because not all oils are appropriate for the face. Instead, look for “nonclogging” oils, like avocado oil, mineral oil, primrose oil, or almond oil.I usually use facial oils as night moisturizer.

During winters we often tend to drink less of water so keeeping our skin extra-hydrated facial oils can be used.Oil can actually helps in balancing the oil content of your skin be it any skin From NORMAL to COMBINATION to Oily skin. 🙂 Oils which i prefer using is-

  • The Body Shop Oils of Life Facial Oil
  • Soultree cold-pressed olive oil
  • figaro olive oil
  • Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty ELIXIR Facial Serum

TIP TO REMEMBER- For winters, always use a toner with no alcohol, and masks that are “deeply hydrating.

Keeping a tube of lip balm in an easily accessible pocket is a good first step, but winter winds can take chapped lips to a whole new level. If lips are flaky, take a clean toothbrush and very gently exfoliate the skin to remove excess skin.

For seriously dry lips, apply honey or Vaseline for 15 minutes and then remove with a cotton swab dipped in hot water.

LIPBALMS are a must-have for everyone. Some of them which are quite good are-

  • Nivea lipbalm: rose
  • Nivea Essential Care-Lip Balm
  • Maybelline Baby lips (this lip balm has quite a range …& my favorites)-CHECK OUT MY REVIEW HERE & HERE
  • Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Lip Moisturizer
  • Nivea Lip Butter – Blueberry Blush
  • Vaseline Lip Therapy – Rosy Lips
  • nivea hydro care
  • BURT’S BEES BEESWAX LIP BALM(all time essential)
  • VASELINE can also do the trick if you don’t have any lipbalms. 🙂

it’s bad enough to have freezing digits, but cracked and painful skin on the hands is the icing on the cake. To prevent hands from drying out, apply moisturizer after hand washing and at least several times throughout the day. Keep a bottle of lotion by each sink in your home and in your desk at work. If hands are very dry, use cream instead of lotion because the former has a higher oil-to-water ratio.

Wearing rubber gloves while washing dishes can prevent hands from getting dried out due to excess contact with hot water too. To really rehab the skin on hands, use very thick hand cream right before bed and then slip on  cotton gloves—the enclosed space will help the moisturizer absorb into the skin.(same routine goes for foot ).Me being a dental intern by profession …i tend to keep a handcream always with me….as working throughout the day is daily routine for me.

USE HANDCREAMS or FOOTCREAMS ,if necessary like-

  • Fabindia Lemon Intensive Hand Cream
  • Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream
  • The body shop hand cream (it comes in many varients…which i absolutely love)
  • Dermalogica Age Smart Multivitamin Hand And Nail Treatment
  • Natio Spa Heavenly Hand Cream
  •  L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream

Tip- Wear gloves on hand and socks on feet after cleaning it and applying moisturizer or cream or body lotion ….for supple, soft and smooth skin in the morning.
